Liftmann, a Manx lift engineering company, has just gained it’s ISO 9001 Quality Standard. In a process that took 6 months they have been able to achieve full certification. Liftmann Director Rachel Corlett said: “This award recognises the professionalism and quality of Liftmann. ISO 9001 has extremely high standards and confirms Liftmann’s focus on quality and customer service. It assures the industry and the public that our team at Liftmann are trained and motivated to provide a first-class service at all times. We supply and maintain a vast range of lift equipment, including passenger lifts, goods lifts and vehicle ramps and we provide mobility products for the disabled.”ISO 9001 is the most internationally recognised standard in quality management and assures clients of the strength and depth of a company. Liftmann wanted to implement a system so that they had the best management control. With the transparency that IS0 9001 provides they quickly recognised the benefit to potential customers and to themselves. Rachel added, “Our success is almost entirely due to the quality of our people and our management.”

Leo Cussons from Work Connexions who was the business manager during implementation is very proud that they have gained certification due to their heavy workload. “I really wanted them to have a better way to manage and put controls and checks that consumed less time and gave more accurate information. So that they could concentrate on their core business. They have been through ISO standard which really demonstrates their commitment to their customers and business.”
